Phillipsburg High School baseball team routs top-seeded Elizabeth in NJSIAA North 2 Group 4 playoffs
Kyle Petty went 4-for-4 and drove in three runs as No. 8 Phillipsburg had no trouble dispensing No. 1 Elizabeth, 17-1, in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA North 2 Group 4 baseball tournament Friday. Petty broke the program's single-season record for hits with 43. The old mark was 39. Petty also hit his sixth triple to set the school's single-season mark. Mike Murray and Ryan Luke, who homered, also drove in three runs apiece for the Stateliners....
